The Swisherr Pathway

At Swisherr we have built a pathway system for everyone. If you want to learn the basics, improve you game, play club basketball, or play in national leagues like the University Basketball League and the NBL1, we have a pathway and program for you from 5 years old to pro... the Swisherr pathway can take you there in 2024-2025. Swisherr Jnr.

Swisherr Jnr. is our flagship program for 5-8 year olds. This program caters for every junior from absolute beginners to emerging players. The program will run in Term 3, Term 4 (2024) and Term 1, Term 2 (2025). Swisherr Jnr programs also run every school holidays.

Swisherr Jnr. League

Our Junior League is a great place to start playing team basketball. With coaching assistance and a supportive, learning environment Subway Swisherr Jnr. League is for primary school aged players and will run Term 4 (2024).

Swisherr Rep.Ready

Our Rep. Ready program is available for 10-15 year old athletes looking to improve their game. Get noticed by the coach, go from the school team to the club team, get to Championship Division. For those who want to work on their game Rep.Ready runs in Term 1 (2025) and all school holidays.

Swisherr All Girls

One of our missions at Swisherr is to keep more girls in the game. This program will run during every school holidays and feature high profiles female NBL1 and WNBL athletes. And even occasionally a WNBA athlete to inspire the young women.

Swisherr School Based Programs

Swisherr partners with more than a dozen schools to deliver Athlete Development Programs and many more in bespoke program, pathway and excursion delivery. We can put a cost effective program together for any school. Athletes in College ADP programs are encouraged to consider the UTAS Pathway.

Swisherr Academy

The Academy is our flagship program, designed and delivered exclusively by head coaches Anthony Stewart and Mark Nash. These are small group programs designed for club rep players wanting to be the best. Academy entry is by invitation after tryouts. Academy will run Term 4 (2024) and Term 1/2 (2025). Tryouts will be held prior each instance. Academy athletes will be invited to join Swisherr Tours to play in national tournaments.

Swisherr Academy Tours

Building on recent success, Swisherr will be taking touring teams to Eltham (Jan 2025) and Nunawading (June 2025) national tournaments. Eligibility will be geared towards Academy enrolled athletes in the preceding term. In the future Swisherr will also be running international tours to the US and Asia.

UBL powered by Swisherr

We partner with the University of Tasmania (statewide) to deliver a high performance program for basketball athletes, with teams selected from the program to compete in the national University Basketball League. UBL teams coached by Swisherr head coaches, is a great pathway toward NBL1 and beyond. UBL runs through Term 1 and Term 2 (2025).

PROTEAM Ready

Our program to work with a selection of athletes who are looking to head to US College or other semi-pro and pro competitions in Australia and beyond.
